Community guidelines

Honest reports, kind words, safe rides. That's it, really.

The spirit of it

RailRobin is made by riders, for riders. Polls, crowd reports, groups, names and stories work only when people are honest and kind. These guidelines apply everywhere riders can see what you share, and form part of our terms of use.

Crowd reports

  • Report what you actually see: Quiet, Moderate, Busy or Packed. A report counts only when you've checked in within the last 90 minutes or are at the station.
  • Don't report to earn coins, to mislead, or about a station you aren't at.
  • Reports are anonymous to other riders and disappear after 24 hours.

Polls

  • One vote per rider. Don't use extra accounts or scripts to sway results.
  • Polls are for fun and conversation, not official surveys.

Groups and secret gift swaps

  • Members see each other's RailRobin ID (@handle) only. Never ask members for phone numbers, addresses or sign-in codes.
  • Group names must be respectful: no hate, harassment, sexual content or contact details.
  • Only invite people you know. Leave any group you don't want to be in.
  • Keep gift swaps kind and within what everyone agreed.

Your RailRobin ID and display name

  • Don't impersonate anyone, including RailRobin staff or the metro operators.
  • No phone numbers, emails, links or offensive words.
  • We may reset names that break these rules.

Stories, songs and other submissions

  • Submit only your own original work. No plagiarism, and no copyrighted lyrics or text you don't own.
  • No hate, harassment, explicit content, or real people's private details.
  • Every submission is reviewed by two people before riders see it, and we may decline any submission.

Feedback, bug reports and Robin

  • Before attaching screenshots, check they don't show other people's personal details.
  • Don't use Robin to generate content in bulk, or to try to make it say harmful things.

Ride safe

  • Never play games while walking near the platform edge, on escalators or on stairs. Look up at doors and crossings.
  • Follow the operator's rules and staff instructions at all times. In an emergency, call 112.

If something goes wrong

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, tell us from Me → Help & support in the app, or email support@railrobin.in.

Depending on what happened, we may remove content, reset a name, reverse coins, remove someone from a group, or suspend or close an account. Where practical, we'll tell the person why, and they can ask us to review it.
